Young-Gak (Ken) Yun

Mr. Yun, Is Founder and Group Chairman of Pavilion Investment Corp. (“Pavilion”) and Founding Chairman of Pavilion Private Equity, a strategic partnership between Pavilion and Mitsubishi Corporation. He is former Chairman of KTB Private Equity, Founder and former Group Chairman of KPMG Korea (Samjong KPMG), and former member of KPMG International Global Board of Directors.
In 1990, Mr. Yun founded Samjong Corporation, which formed a partnership with Houlihan Lokey during the Asian financial crisis to play an active
role in the extensive restructuring process of the Korean banking industry. Samjong subsequently became a member firm of KPMG in Korea. Over the span of twenty years of his leadership, Samjong grew into one of the largest professional services firms in Korea, employing over 2,700 professionals with over $300MM in annual revenue.
Mr. Yun is the recipient of the Korean government’s “Silver & Bronze Tower Industrial Medal” from the Korean government, being the first recipient from the non-manufacturing sector. In 2009, he was recognized as the “Best Korean CEO” by the Korea Economic Daily Business, as well as one of the “Top 30 Korean Business Leaders” by the MK Economy News. In 2010, he was awarded the “Talent Management Award” by The Korea Economic Daily. In 2011, Mr. Yun was awarded the “Forbes CSR Award”. In 2011 and 2012, Mr. Yun was selected as one of “The Most Powerful Business Leaders in Korea” by Fortune Magazine.

Mr. Yun has also established and serves as Chairman of the Board of MYSC (Merry Year Social Company), which helps social enterprises with management consulting and funding support.
Mr. Yun earned BA in Economics from The University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from The University of Chicago, and a JD and LLM from Duke Law School.
Mr. Yun is a certified public accountant and an attorney at law in the State of New York.
